Matthew Rees

i was born to craig and debbie somewhere in utah in 1979. when i was about five or so they got a divorce and i went with my mom and lived in sandiego CA, and also Couredelene ID until i was about 11 years old when i moved in with my dad and my step mom mary down in sunny southern CA. growing up i spent a lot of time with the CA cousins (uncle joe and aunt chris' kids), and several of them even lived with us when i was in highschool. i graduated palmdale high class of 98. i served a mission from dec. 99 thru dec 01 in the Washington dc north mission. after coming home i went back to work, and also started going to college. i have had many jobs including working in the casinos in vegas, working at a chevron station, repo man, bodygaurd (dont ask), did part time work for a private i , and spent about 6 years fighting forest fires on a hotshot crew for the US Forest service. after about 8 years of college and no degree (i really really like electives) i decided to take a break from fire and seek some new adventure so i joined the United States Army. i am now stationed at ft lewis (jblm) in washington. i am an infantrymen in a striker brigade. in the near future i will be driving the striker. i think i might be one of the oldest cousins that is still single and doesnt have and kids yet. i love working on cars and driving them, i also love pinochle and play every chance i get. i never pass up the chance for a great adventure. recently i have taken an interest in grandpa (Lloyd) Rees' life and military history, and have discovered information is hard to find ( so if you have any feel free to share). i have 2 brothers- Jacob Rees and Robert Livingston. i guess that about sums it up (all the wild and stupid things i have done would take up to much space :) )

You are old, Kenneth William!

Today I am feeling a bit old! Not because my mind tells me that, but because my body is achy.

I was born nearly 58 and a half years ago in December 1949. So that makes me the oldest of the Lucky 7. My family is the smallest of the 7. My first wife Patricia and I had just two wonderful daughters - Kate and Kellie. Patricia died in 1996 and I am married to a wonderful woman from Canada. We are living in Lethbridge.

I graduated from Hillcrest High in Midvale in 1968, then from Birgham Young University in 1974 and have been working since then in the information technologies area. I spent nearly 3 years working for the US Federal Government in Yuma, Arizona, then nearly 20 years working for the Boeing COmpany in Seattle, Washington. Right now I am working for Telvent, as I have for nearly the last 10 years.

Retirement is getting closer and closer. I hope to be able to retire in 4 and a half years, but that will depend on everything that goes on with the economy.

We have a good family - the whole bunch of us! I hope that we can get back in touch with each other.

With love,

Uncle Ken

Honest Me

My life as it is stands moving forward in the light of a new choice
time standa stil when I hide my unique face
I'm at a point now where things are all changing,
No mor pointing fingers no more selfish blaming
I have dealt with and live in scarcity and shame
Player fake and sought approval from everyone i've faced
My real family I call to you please send a signal back
Your nephew and cousin is having his first child, but relax
I'll be new to being a daddy, but I've never really lived
I'm reaching out to you now to you I want to give
Myself an my life my dreams and my wife
I still to engage and wed, but the future says its so
I've seen it in my dreams, the univers says yes to me
I have drugged and put myself under my own magnifying glass
Took the risk, sought the bliss of my sobriety 11 months this
time, I'm not going back to dying, and relying on lies
to disguise my life, I'm not ashamed of my power
I'm an open honest joyfull powerfull man
I create my own universe and my experience is grand
Life is so beautiful weather or not I let it be
A choice is all it takes and love is where I'll lead it.
I choice to live experience and love life UNTO god
My spirituallity is new, my respect for women Is true
trying to hold my breath for too long
I have been a cheater and a liar for too long,
Hello family, honesty is really up for me.

Christy Ann Adams Rees

Wife of the second son (Joe) and the second person to marry into the family. I have been a member of this family almost half of my life. I am the mother of one of the largest families. (I think Kevin and Robyn have as many) They are Joshua (Rachel), Jody (Ken), Mike (Danielle), Daniel (Dawn) and Teresa (Daniel). I live in California (some times). Josh and Jody live there too. Mike, Dan and Teresa live in Utah. I do alot of traveling, mostly to visit or live with Joe. We have travel to just about every state in the US except Alaska and Hawaii. We haven't made it there yet. Maybe this year? Last year we went to Japan. But it will have to wait until Joe finishes remodeling my house. I have Twenty Grandkids: Kimberly (17), Kala (13), Talia (10), Brent (8), Emma (6), Hannah (4), Kristy (2)(Jody/Ken), David (6), Paul (4), Seth (2), Lauren (2wk)(Josh/Rachel), Dalynn (5), Caden (3), Desmond (soon to be born)(Mike/Danelle), Hyrum(3), Suriah (2), Taylur (8m)(Dan/Dawn), Jacob (5), Audree (4) Lillee (5m)(Teresa/Daniel). Other than staying with one of kids I don't do much. I like to crochet and quilt. which pretty much sums up my life right now..

Kat(i)e Rees Evans

Well, I'm the 1st child of the 1st child of the lucky 7. Not the oldest cousin by a few . . . but that's cool too . . . probably one of the shortest adult cousins too, if not THE shortest . . . but they say great things come in small packages . . . or does that sound too conceited?
If nothing else, I'm probably the "furthest flung" of the cousins. I currently make my home in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with my sweetheart of a husband James and our silly-wonderful son Christopher who will be 8 next month.
Let's see . . . what shall I say in this little intro of mine? It seems like Brook and Teresa started from when they graduated high school, so perhaps then.
I graduated high school the same week that Grandpa died. I can't remember for sure if my dad (Ken) was down in Salt Lake when I had my grad, or if he made it back up to attend the ceremony . . . want to help me out with that, Dad?
I went to BYZoo for the equivalent of 4 years, but never graduated. I'd LOVE to get a bachelor's degree or at least complete a diploma in one of a myriad different subjects, but that's something for another time and pocketbook! LOL
I served an abbreviated mission from 1997-1998 (came home early . . . long sordid story), and decided to go to Seattle Community College and take their Sign Language Interpreter's training. Dad had other plans. He shipped me off to Connie's where I lived about 6 months. He told me it was because Utah had "more worthy LDS young men" or some such thing . . . suffice it to say, his intent at the time was clear . . . "move to Utah and get married!".
Well, his plan worked, kinda . . . I did move to Utah, and I did get married (celebrating 9 years with my hunny next month . . . wahoo!), but James wasn't FROM Utah. I had internet access through the college and met a group of great LDS guys and gals on a website called YChat. James was one of my buds, and after a few disaterous dating relationships in "real life" . . . (remember Dennis, Connie? *shudders*), I told him (James) that I was done with guys for the time being.
Well, in time, James let it be known that he had a crush on me and wanted to see if we could be more than friends, and after many phone conversations and going up to Canada to meet him (he lived in British Columbia), we became engaged and were married in the Cardston Temple in May 1999.
Our son Christopher was born 2 days after our first anniversary in 2000. He's a typical boy-boy . . . LOVES cars and machines and computer stuff . . . definitely takes after his father in that way. He's in grade 2 and is looking forward to being baptised later on this year.
Right now, our family is at a crossroads. James was laid off from his employer in March and is still looking for suitable employment. We may end up staying here, or we may end up back in British Columbia, or who knows?, the Lord may want us down in the states! :) Any and all prayers that you could spare for us would be greatly appreciated.

(an Evans family pic as of December 2005 . . . hopefully will have another professional one done soon and will update) :)
Love and *HUGS* to all!
your neice, daughter, cousin,
Kate :)

Teresa Ann Rees Malachowski Krolak

Wow! my official name is crazy! So a little about me eh?.... I was born in Murray, Utah in 1982 to Joseph and Christy Rees. Joe is the second oldest son of Lloyd and Colleen Rees. My family moved to California shortly after I was born so I was raised there. I have three older brothers and an older sister. As the youngest I always felt picked on, but looking back I probably deserved most of it. I got married the first time when I was 19. I met Andrew, my first husband one month after I graduated hight school and we were married 9 months later. Little over a year later My first son Jacob was born. His sister Audree followed just 19 months later. Jacob was named after one of my favorite people Jacob Rees. Audree was named after my husbands favorite actress, Adurey Hepburn. After Being married for 4 1/2 years Andrew Died of sinus Cancer. He was 28 and I was 23. This was one of the most challenging things I have ever faced! But Luckily I had parents who taught me the gospel at a young age and I leaned on my savior and somehow I survived! I met my current husband, Daniel, Just 3 months after Andrew Died. I moved to Utah and became a licensed massage therapist. Daniel and I got married 10 months after we met. We now live in Clearfield Utah, and have an adorable 4 month old baby, Lillee! Our three kids are our reason for living. I recently went back to work doing massage. I work at a spa in south Ogden and I LOVE IT!!!! I love my family and would do anything for them. And I guess that's pretty much me.... any questions? feel free to ask.
